Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Note: Registration on eBebewa platform is a two-step process. Registration is required for you to be able to use the platform’s services as either a Client or a Driver. The following are the instructions on how to create an account:
- Go to www.ebebewa.com click on “Create Account”, or launch the eBebewa App, and press “Register”.
- Click on either “Register As Driver” or “Register As Client”
- All fields marked (*) are mandatory.
- The names should match those on your national identification card, or business license.
- Upload your passport photo. The photo must be of good quality, with your face clearly visible.
- Setup your Login username and password. These enable you access the eBebewa platform.
- Confirm that you agree to the Terms of Service (ToS) of eBebewa platform, and then click submit. On successful submission of your registration details, you will be directed on the next step in completing your account creation.
- You will receive an Activation Code on your phone via SMS; enter that code to activate your account.
- Your account is now active and you are ready to login and enjoy the platform’s services.
If you do not receive an activation code upon registration, your account will be activated shortly. If your account is still inactive after 5 minutes, you can call our support line for immediate assistance.
Login as a Client, and enter the following information:
Date – when the luggage is to be picked up
Luggage origin – the place where the luggage is currently
Luggage destination – where the luggage is to be dropped off/delivered to
Vehicle required – the type of vehicle you need to carry your luggage
Nature of the luggage – indicate whether the luggage is fragile or normal
Sender’s contact – phone number of the person who will give the luggage to the Driver
Receiver’s contact – phone number of the person who will receive the luggage when delivered
Luggage description – the kind of luggage you want delivered e.g. Cement, Onions, Furniture, etc
Location description – closest landmark (e.g. market, school) to the luggage’s origin and destination
Email is not required during registration, but you will need a working email in case you forget your password and need to reset it.
Yes you can, but make sure that you use a different username for each account.
Upon delivering the luggage, tab/click on “Delivered Jobs” then indicate/confirm that you have actually delivered the luggage. Then the Client will confirm the delivery after which you will automatically receive your money via Mpesa.
Login as a Driver, then you will see all available jobs under the “Available Jobs” icon.
You will need to register each vehicle separately, each under a different Driver.
After you have posted a job, all Drivers with the kind of vehicle you need will be able to view your job request and those interested in carrying out the delivery will apply; you can view those who have applied under the “Jobs under review” icon.
The Job(s) you post will appear under the “Jobs under review” tab. When you tab/click on this tab, you will see if there are any available Driver(s) willing to deliver your luggage. You ONLY make payment if there are Drivers available. Note: your payment is withheld until you confirm that your luggage has been delivered.
Just tab/click “Forgot password”. Provide a working email address, then submit. Instructions on how to reset your password will be sent to that email address. Follow the instructions to reset your password.
If you have luggage to be transported, yes you can use the platform’s services by having a registered Client post a Job request on your behalf. But if you intend to use the platform as a Driver, then you need a smart phone.
Upon delivering luggage, tab/click on “Delivered Jobs” then indicate/confirm that you have actually delivered the luggage.
Just login and go to “My Profile”, then edit/change your vehicle details to reflect those of the new one.
As a Driver, you need to physically inspect and verify the nature and description of the luggage as stated by the Client on the platform. Also ensure timely and safe delivery of the Client’s luggage. As a Client, you need to verify the identity of the Driver, and the details of the vehicle ensuring that the information matches that provided on the platform, before picking up your luggage. Also upon delivery of your luggage, promptly confirm that the luggage has been delivered so that the Driver receives his/her payment on time.
